About the landscape

The park occupies two long, roughly rectangular areas, with a total area of 15.2 hectares (37.6 acres) separated by Firth Park Road.

The park combines elements of the original pre-park landscape with modern day facilities. In character it varies greatly from woodland and streamside walks and open amenity grassland areas, to areas devoted to sports activities and the more formal setting of civic buildings.

The Clock Tower pavilion is a Grade II listed building.
