Parent and carers may be required to make a contribution towards the cost of providing Post-16 Special Educational Needs Transport.
This doesn't apply to school transport provided for 5 to 16 year olds.
For the academic year 2018-19 the contribution equates to £10.38/week (over 52 weeks), a total of £540 per year, which can be paid each month by direct debit, each term or annually.
Some families will be eligible for the 16-19 Bursary Fund to help with these costs, which can be applied for from the school, college or educational placement your child attends.

How to apply for Post 16 travel support
Please provide clear and sufficient information about your child’s special educational needs, disability and health needs when completing the form.
You should also provide information about why you are unable to transport your child to school or college.
Your application will be discussed at a Travel Panel, where we will make a decision.
