Polling station review 2024
We're reviewing the polling arrangements across Sheffield, which might include changes to some polling station locations. If you're registered to vote in at Parliamentary elections in Sheffield, we would like your feedback.
When proposing changes to polling arrangements we have considered:
- suitability and availability of the existing station
- feedback given by members of the public, elected members and others
- accessibility for people with disabilities
- provision of reasonable facilities
- minimising disruption to schools
Give us your feedback
We welcome responses on any of the current or proposed arrangements, particularly if you live in one of the wards with a proposed change.
Take our survey and tell us what you think of our proposals and your suggestions.
A paper version of the consultation document and response form is available on request from Electoral Services using the details below.

Role of the Electoral Commission
We are following guidance issued by the Electoral Commission in undertaking the review. Although the Electoral Commission has no role in the review process itself, it can consider comments if people do not think that the review has met the reasonable requirements of electors or taken sufficient account of the needs of disabled electors.
The following people can make representations to the Electoral Commission:
- no less than 30 electors in the UK parliamentary constituency in which the polling district and/or place is situated
- any person who made comments during the review
- any parish council or parish meeting for the area
- any non-elector who the Commission feels has sufficient interest in the accessibility of disabled persons
The Electoral Commission can direct the council to make alterations to polling places if it thinks that is necessary.
