Our Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) deals with key corporate issues and strategic service issues. It makes decisions, formulates recommendations to support the political leadership and gives a steer on policy issues where this is necessary.
Our SLT comprises of the:
- Chief Executive
- Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services
- Executive Director of City Futures
- Chief Operating Officer
- Strategic Director of Adults' Care and Wellbeing
- Strategic Director of Children's Services
- Director of Public Health and Integrated Commissioning
The Statutory Section 151 Officer, Monitoring Officer and Director of Policy and Democratic Engagement are also members.
The SLT can make managerial decisions on how we operate or on the application of policy that has already been politically agreed. It cannot set new policy, which is the role of elected members.
