
The Sheffield Cares Excellence Awards took place on Thursday 13 February at Sheffield City Hall Ballroom.
The awards highlighted the dedication of some of the city’s most skilled and dedicated carers.
Nominations could be made by anyone, but our nominees must have resided in Sheffield and had an active role in providing safe, high-quality care.
All nominations were considered by an independent panel of decision-makers. It was made up of individuals who receive care and support and of people who have a wider interest in the social care sector in the UK.
They were hosted by our Adult Health and Social Care teams in partnership with:
- Sheffield Hallam University
- Tomato Energy
- The University of Sheffield’s Centre for Care
- Sheffield’s Community Youth Service
The Award show
It was led by compere renowned keynote speaker, writer and host, Big Ian Donaghy.
Celebrations after were led by a DJ set from Under the Stars, a Sheffield based arts and events charity for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
