We’re working with the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership and the Trees for Streets charity to make it easier for residents and local businesses to sponsor new tree planting in our local streets and parks.
You can choose to sponsor a Street Tree right outside your house, or sponsor a Celebration Tree in one of Sheffield's beautiful parks or recreation grounds. You can even organise a crowdfunded campaign to green an entire street.
The deadline for sponsorship requests is the 6 December each year to ensure planting by the end of March the following year. This gives us enough time to survey your selected location, order the tree and schedule the contractor.
No payment is taken until your sponsorship is confirmed.
The council will not be carrying out watering of sponsored street trees. Trees for Streets will send you weekly watering reminders during the summer for the first three years.
Sponsored trees within parks will be watered for the first two years following planting (in line with other parks and countryside site plantings). This is reflected in the price of a sponsored parks tree.
