Christmas opening times 2024: We are closed to all but essential services over the Christmas period. You can still use our online services to report, apply and pay 24/7.
Retrieve a vehicle from the pound
In some cases when a vehicle is parked in contravention of a restriction we may arrange for it to be towed to the pound after issuing a parking fine.
Information about where vehicles have been relocated or towed to is shared with the police. You can also contact enforcement on 0114 273 6255 to check the whereabouts of moved vehicles.
Retrieving your vehicle
You must pay the parking fine and removal charge (and storage fees if applicable) to get your vehicle back. You can appeal against the parking fine / removal charge within 28 days after you retrieve your vehicle from the pound. You will be given information about how to appeal when you make payment at the pound.
If we reject your appeal we will send a Notice of Rejection letter. This will explain how you make a final appeal to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal (an independent adjudication service).
If we accept your appeal you will receive a refund.
What you need to pay
These fees are payable when you reclaim your vehicle:
- a parking fine of £70 (£35 if paid within 14 days); or £50 (£25 if paid within 14 days).
The amount depends on the reason why the parking fine was issued
- a removal fee of £105
- storage fees of £12 per day (from midday on the day following the removal of the vehicle)
Where to get your vehicle from
When vehicles are removed, they will be taken to a secure pound. You can collect your vehicle Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm, or at weekends between 9am and midday.
If you are not able to collect your vehicle during these hours, please contact The Mansfield Group’s call centre on 0870 600 3444.
