An EXCITING opportunity to join a WONDERFUL school!

Stocksbridge Junior School is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant either Level 2, Level 3 or HLTA.

Stocksbridge Junior School is an outstanding school and has been for almost twenty years.  Situated to the north-west of Sheffield, this inclusive school is an integral part of the community it serves, ensuring the families and children of Stocksbridge and surrounding areas receive the very best quality of education and support. Governors and the leadership team are keen to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our hard working and committed team in KS2 as soon as possible. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, keen to work in partnership with current staff and able to work under instruction as well as having the ability to use his/her initiative.  The person appointed will have the ability to build excellent relationships with adults and children and work as part of our whole school team. He/she will have excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills and must be able to demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies, an understanding of the curriculum in KS2 and be able to work with groups of children to ensure outstanding achievement. In return we will offer you excellent opportunities in CPD.

‘Stocksbridge is a school where all leaders, managers and staff strive for excellence in order to provide the best education possible for all pupils. This results in the pupils’ outstanding achievement.’

    (Ofsted 2015)

Our children and staff are very proud to be part of the school.  We firmly believe we provide the children in our care with all the necessary skills they need to be successful and happy in life, both academic and socially.  We strive for children to leave our school as independent learners, demonstrating first class attitudes to learning.  It is a common goal that pupils take the lead in their own learning, have the opportunity to work and play in many different contexts and develop a sense of pride in their own achievements.  This is reflected in ‘The Ladder of Success’ which sets the standards for daily life in school.

‘Much thought has gone into designing a curriculum that ensures a wide range of stimulating and varied subjects are taught that will appeal to all learners.’

(Ofsted 2015)

If you have the drive to join our forward thinking staff, we would be pleased to hear from you

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and strongly encouraged.  Application forms and further details are available from Tracey Birley, t.birley@stocksbridge-jun.sheffield.sch.uk.   Completed applications should be returned for attention of Mrs Tracey Birley, Stocksbridge Junior School, Sheffield, S36 1AS or by email to t.birley@stocksbridge-jun.sheffield.sch.uk.
