Maps of the town and city of Sheffield have been produced since the 1730s. They vary in size and scale but they tend to show the principal buildings and street layout.
Printed county maps of Yorkshire show the towns and villages in the county. Again, these vary in size and scale.

Location of records
A comprehensive collection is available at the Sheffield Local Studies Library in the Central Library, whilst a smaller selection is available at Sheffield Archives at Shoreham Street.
