Walking in Sheffield

There are a variety of walks around the city.

Sheffield Round Walk

The Sheffield Round Walk route starts at Endcliffe Park and is approximately 14 miles long.

It ascends from the park through the Porter Valley, climbing towards the moorland edge of Ringinglow.

The route then descends through the Limb Valley, Whirlow Brook Park and Ecclesall Woods before climbing once again through Ladies Spring Wood and Chancet Wood to Graves Park.

From Graves Park the walk continues through the Gleadless Valley, Meersbrook Park and Chelsea Park, before returning to the start/finish at Endcliffe Park.

We manage the Sheffield Round Walk in partnership with a number of 'Friends Of' groups along the route. Its development would not have been possible without the personal interest and generosity of the J G Graves Charitable Trust.

The booklet guide has been divided up into 4 sections for the convenience of those who do not wish to undertake the whole walk in one day.

You can find maps for each section along with detailed route descriptions to allow you to follow the route more easily. There is also additional information to help you plan your walk, such as approximate distances, gradients and the time needed to complete each section

You can call us to pay by debit card on 0114 250 0500 during the office hours 8.45am to 5.15pm (4.45pm on Fridays). The cost is £4.95 for the Round Walk Guide (which includes postage and packing).
