Your wedding may have been one of the most important days of your life and renewing the promises you made together is a wonderful way to look back at the years you’ve shared with each other.
Some couples renew their vows to:
- celebrate a significant anniversary such as their 1st, 10th or their 25th
- have family and friends present who couldn’t make the original ceremony
Your ceremony
You can renew your vows at the Register Office, Town Hall Ceremony rooms, an approved venue or in your own home.
A ‘celebrant’ will conduct your ceremony but will not be acting in any official capacity. Celebrants are trained and experienced at conducting many different ceremonies so do ask their advice on anything you are unsure about.
Please note there will be a non-refundable booking fee of £30 to secure a date and time (this is additional to any other fees).
Fees
Ceremonies in the Town Hall cost £292 (including VAT) and take place Monday to Saturday including Bank Holidays.
Ceremonies in your home or another venue cost £365 (including VAT) and can take place Monday to Sunday including Bank Holidays.
An extra non-refundable booking fee of £30 is required to secure the date and time.
Your certificate
A souvenir certificate is signed during the ceremony by the couple and two witnesses.
