Information you will need to provide
As well as your application and private hire operator's questionnaire, you will need to upload the following information when you apply for your private hire operator licence:
- current basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate of all directors (if not already a licensed driver with us) or DBS certificate number (found by logging into your DBS account)
- right to work document(s) of all business owners (we will need to see this in person if you are not already licensed with us as a driver and/or if your right to work has limitations)
- tax check information or nine-digit tax check code if you have one
- public liability insurance certificate (if applicable)
- employers' liability insurance
- planning consent (if needed) or letter confirming that planning permission is not required
- registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office
- image of the proposed signage that you will use
We may need to see other documents. If this is the case, we will contact you directly.
We will not process your application until we have seen all the documents we need.
