Sheffield’s carers were celebrated last night (13 February 2025) at the Sheffield Cares Excellence Awards for the care and support that they give to the people of Sheffield.
Sheffield residents who are not in work and not currently actively seeking employment are set to benefit from a £3m fund aimed at supporting them to join, or rejoin, the workforce.
The creation of more people-friendly, prosperous streets in Sheffield city centre is due to get underway, helping to bring in a more open, attractive and spacious area for people to relax, enjoy and spend time in.
An initiative aiming to support Sheffield’s nighttime economy and keep residents and visitors safe when out in the city centre, has been extended into the Spring.
