Today (Thursday 21 December 2023), at Sheffield City Council’s Extraordinary Strategy and Resources Policy Committee, Councillors were given a positive, but realistic, update on the financial outlook for the council and the budget for 2024/25.
Over three days in August 2023, Sheffield’s first ‘net zero in operation’ Council homes were safely lifted into position at the Duffield Place site in Woodseats.
Active Travel Neighbourhoods in Crookes and Walkley are to be made permanent, following a decision at the Transport, Regeneration and Climate Policy Committee. The scheme in Nether Edge will be modified to reflect the views of residents, with a number of pedestrian crossings remaining in place.
