Students across the city have been receiving their A-Level results today and Sheffield City Council would like to praise our schools and students for their achievements and hard work.
The commission, chaired by Prof Kevin Hylton and including 24 commissioners from across Sheffield, collated detailed evidence of the racism and racial disparities affecting our communities.

The Department for Education (DfE) has announced that Sheffield City Council will be one of 16 local authorities that will help to design a process to expand wraparound childcare for primary schools. Wraparound care includes breakfast clubs, after school clubs and other school services that can help care for children outside of normal school hours from 8am to 6pm.

It was with deep sadness that we learnt of the death of Sheffield City Council’s former Chief Executive, Robert Kerslake, Baron Kerslake of Endcliffe. Following a brief illness he passed away on Saturday 1 July 2023 aged 68.
