It was with deep sadness that we learnt of the death of Sheffield City Council’s former Chief Executive, Robert Kerslake, Baron Kerslake of Endcliffe. Following a brief illness he passed away on Saturday 1 July 2023 aged 68.
Following the announcement that Tuffnells Parcels Express, a Sheffield-based parcel delivery business, has gone into administration, Sheffield City Council is working with Jobcentre Plus and South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority to offer support to staff who are likely to be made redundant.
This weekend, Friday 9 June and Saturday 10 June, the Arctic Monkeys return to their home town of Sheffield, performing for 2 nights at Hillsborough Park. In order to support this event, a number of road closures are in place.
