If you have changed your name or address, then you need to contact us straight away. We will then update your records.
There is no charge for us to do this, unless you need us to reissue your licence documents.
You may also need to tell your taxi operator about these changes.
Change of name
If you are changing your name, you will need to reapply for a new Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate in your new name. You will need to do this in time for any badge renewal application that you make, and for us to carry out routine DBS checks every 6 months.
Change of address
If you change your address, your DBS certificate will still be valid. You can change your address detail in your DBS account. This does not update your DBS certificate, which would still be at your old address.
How to apply
To change your name or address we will need to see your DVLA driving licence, showing your new name or address.
