It’s your responsibility to check the date when your licence is due to expire and make your application within the same month.
Before you renew
Your vehicle needs to pass a compliance test no more than 4 weeks before it's licence is due to be renewed.
Test appointments
When your vehicle is due for a test, we will usually email you about 6 weeks in advance with a date and time. If you do not hear from us, please email taxilicensing@sheffield.gov.uk or telephone 0114 273 4264 to arrange the test.
