Sheffield’s trailblazers were celebrated last night (13 March 2025) at the Lord Mayor Awards, supported by E.ON Blackburn Meadows, for their significant contribution to life in the city.
An initiative aiming to support Sheffield’s nighttime economy and keep residents and visitors safe when out in the city centre, has been extended into the Spring.
As a city dating back at least 800 years, Sheffield has an incredibly rich and culturally important history. From Sheffield Castle to the industrial revolution right the way up to the modern day, the city has made its mark on the world.
Sheffield and Pittsburgh in the USA have been Sister Cities since 1980. This week a delegation from Sheffield will head to Pittsburgh to strengthen ties, share knowledge and explore future collaboration.
