Tinsley Green

Situated north east of the city centre, Tinsley Green is an open recreation space and area of sports provision within the community. It has cultural facilities including a youth centre and school.


Admission and opening times

Tinsley Green is open from dawn until dusk. It's free to visit.

Getting to the park

The main entrance is off Norborough Road.

Cycling

Tinsley Green is a 30 minute bike ride from the city centre.

Public transport

There are bus stops on St Lawrence Road and Bawtry Road, and it takes about 35 minutes by bus. The Meadowhall South/Tinsley tram stop is a 10 minute walk, it takes 17 minutes by tram.

About the landscape

The site is largely mown grass, but has been stocked with native species of shrubs and trees, which provide cover for wildlife.  

An amenity grassland area is used for informal play.
