We don't use QR codes for parking payment. Paybyphone only operate via the app.
We operate a number of car parks in the city centre in addition to providing on-street parking.
Our parking machines continue to accept cash but additional facilities to pay by chip and pin or contactless cashless payments are available. You can also pay by phone.
Sheffield City Council city centre car parks
City centre on street parking
- Monday to Sunday: charging from 8am to 8:30pm
- Monday to Sunday: Zone 1 evening rate from 4:30pm to 8:30pm of £2 (or £1.45 per hour)
- Sunday: Zone 2 evening rate from 4:30pm to 8:30pm of £2 (or £1 per hour)
- Sunday: Zone 1 £2 per hour (up to £24 for 12 hours 30 minutes) ; Zone 2 £1 per hour (up to £12 for 12 hours 30 minutes)
- no time limits for parking on street
- single yellow lines: no parking from 8am to 8:30pm (unless adjacent signs show different times)
- Blue Badge holders and motorcycles can use pay and display parking for free
